We Will Be Back In Winter Haven In Mid-March

This will be our sixth time at the Central Park Art Festival in seven yearsprevious (we were in Antarctica in 2016 instead), sponsored by the Victor Smith Law Group and put on by the Ridge Art Association. On Saturday, March 16th, the hours are from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday’s hours will be from 10 am to 4 pm. Central Park takes up three blocks between West 4th and 5th Streets and between North Avenue B and South Avenue A. Apparently, the city’s park renovations are now complete.

They are expecting up to 25,000 guests this year to more than 90 artists. There will also be a children’s hands-on tent, student art exhibit, live entertainment, and international food court. It doesn’t look like they’ve gotten the festival visitor website up and going, but it should soon be reachable from the Ridge Art Association website menu. Stay tuned.

Although I grew up in Garden Grove, California, I have lived here in South Miami longer than I've lived anywhere else in the world. I've been married to my wonderful wife, Nancy, longer than I was ever without her. We were both teachers. Nancy recently retired after 40 years. I have also spent time as an officer in the Coast Guard, a commercial property appraiser, and an electrical engineering student. Now I'm technical support for Bee Happy Graphics. That means I handle this blog, our web page, and all E-mail, I do all post-processing and printing of the images, I cut mats and glass and frames. If you have a technical question, I would be the one trying to answer it.

Your "two cents worth" is welcome (but I don't give change).
