At the Halifax Art Festival in Daytona Beach earlier this month, “God’s Artistry“, our panoramic photograph of an Everglades sunset, won an Award of Merit. It was being displayed as a 1.5″-gallery-wrapped 18″x60” canvas. We were both thrilled to receive such an honor.
The 33rd Annual Woodstock Arts & Crafts Festival will be from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday, December 7th, and on Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm at Welleby Park in Sunrise, Florida. Welleby Park, at 11100 NW 44th Street, is on the south side of 44th Street just west of Hiatus Road. Admission is $5 or six cans of food. There will be about 150 exhibitors. The 50th Annual Space Coast Art Festival will be open from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2013, and on Sunday, December 1st from 10 am to 5 pm. It is centered around Minutemen Causeway between Brevard Avenue on the west, and Atlantic Avenue near the beach in Cocoa Beach. There will be about 250 artists and 60,000 visitors. This will be our second year at this festival, which will be on Saturday, November 9th and Sunday, November 10th from 10 am to 4 pm both days. Temple Terrace is on the northeast side of Tampa, Florida. The festival will be at Riverhills Park, 405 S. Riverhills Drive. It is put on by the Temple Terrace Arts Council, and is free to the public. There will be 150 artists and they are expecting 16,000 visitors. For more information, try their facebook page.
The Halifax Art Festival will be on Beach Street, between Bay Street on the north and Orange Avenue. We will be in Booth 27, which is toward the south end (east side). On Saturday, November 2, hours are 9 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday the festival will be open from 10 am to 4 pm. This festival, presented by the Guild of the Museum of Arts and Sciences, hosts over 230 artists and expects at least 25,000 visitors this year. This will be our first time at this festival. This will be our first time in the Wesley Chapel Fall Festival in the Grove at Wesley Chapel located near I-75 and Wesley Chapel Blvd (State Road 54) about 22 miles north of Tampa, Florida. It is presented by the Chamber of Commerce. It will be open to the public on Saturday, October 12th from 10 am to 5 pm, and on Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm. There will be a pumpkin patch pageant for children up to ten years old and other entertainment. They expect about 20,000 visitors. We will be participating in the 37th Annual Maitland Rotary Art Festival the first weekend in October 2013. It will be surrounding Lake Lily. We were there in April for a show put on by the Chamber of Commerce, but the Rotary Art Festival is supposed to be much larger with 80,000 visitors and 150 artists. This will be our first time at this show. For you, admission is free. On Friday (Oct 4) it is open from 6 to 10 pm. Saturday the hours are 10 am to 10 pm, and the hours on Sunday are 10 am to 5 pm.
