Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival Will Be Weekend Of May 6th

We have again been accepted into this art festival. This will be our 5th year participating. It is still one of our favorite festivals. It is in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, and the art festival will be open and free to the public from 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday, May 6, 2017 and 10 to 5 on Sunday. The parade is Thursday, May 4th. For other affiliated events, you can check their website (www.shrimpfestival.com). The festival will be held in the Historic business district (along Centre Street and about a block on all side streets as far east as 8th Street).  We will be in Booth 403 on the south side of Centre Street.  They expect about 120,000 visitors to see around 320 artists.

Although I grew up in Garden Grove, California, I have lived here in South Miami longer than I've lived anywhere else in the world. I've been married to my wonderful wife, Nancy, longer than I was ever without her. We were both teachers. Nancy recently retired after 40 years. I have also spent time as an officer in the Coast Guard, a commercial property appraiser, and an electrical engineering student. Now I'm technical support for Bee Happy Graphics. That means I handle this blog, our web page, and all E-mail, I do all post-processing and printing of the images, I cut mats and glass and frames. If you have a technical question, I would be the one trying to answer it.

Your "two cents worth" is welcome. I don't give change.
